接上篇4500E 的VSS ，大企业核心很多是使用6500E系列交换机，对于6500E 配置VSS 虚拟化有什么软硬件要求呢？ 我们以现在比较多使用的SUP720 SUP 2T 引擎来说明，分别从机框、引擎、IOS软件要求来分析：
一 机框需求
Chassis
All chassis supported with Supervisor Engine 2T in Cisco IOS Release 15.2SY support VSS mode.
All chassis that support the VS-S720-10G supervisor engines and WS-X6708-10G switching modules support VSS mode.
支持720 2T的 E系列6500 都是支持VSS的
二 引擎 要求

一 机框需求
Chassis

二 引擎 要求
Either two VS-S720-10G-3C or two VS-S720-10G-3CXL supervisor engines. The two supervisor engines must match exactly.
Either two VS-SUP2T-10G or two VS-SUP2T-10G-XL supervisor engines. The two supervisor engines must match exactly.
两个机框的引擎需要一致
三 IOS 要求
Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.2(33)SXH1
四 license 要求
Feature Set Requirement: IP Base or better
五 VSL
VSL Hardware Requirements （SUP 2T）
The VSL EtherChannel supports only 40-Gigabit and 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports. The ports can be located on the supervisor engine (recommended) or on one of the following switching modules:
- WS-X6904-40G-2T
- WS-X6908-10GE
- WS-X6816-10T-2T, WS-X6716-10T
- WS-X6816-10G-2T, WS-X6716-10G
- C6800-8P10G, C6800-8P10G-XL
- C6800-16P10G, C6800-16P10G-XL
- C6800-32P10G, C6800-32P10G-XL
VSL Hardware Requirements (SUP 720)
The VSL EtherChannel supports only 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports. The ports can be located on the supervisor engine (recommended) or on one of the following switching modules:

WS-X6716-10T
•WS-X6716-10G
•WS-X6708-10G
We recommend that you use both of the 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports on the supervisor engines to create the VSL between the two chassis.
